Deborah Madansky, M.D. has 30 years of experience in the treatment of children and their families.
She is a graduate of the University of Chicago and Harvard Medical School. She completed a pediatric residency at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Boston and continued at Children's Hospital in a Fellowship in Child Development and Behavior under the direction of Dr. T. Berry Brazelton.
Dr. Madansky then served as Assistant Professor, then Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School for 15 years before moving to Sonoma County, California. She served for 8 years as the Medical/Clinical Director, and subsequently as the Executive Director, of CARE Children's Counseling Center, a non-profit community agency devoted to the treatment of traumatized children.
She has been in private practice in Santa Rosa, California since 2005, where she offers child and family psychotherapy and consultation in behavioral pediatrics.
Dr. Madansky is the author of numerous articles and chapters about topics in child development and childhood trauma. Known as a gifted teacher, she has lectured and conducted workshops across the United States.
